At Sierra Pacific Power Company, we do our best to provide reliable and dependable energy so you don't have to think about your power. However, the power crisis sweeping the west may have adverse affects on the local power supply. Additionally, extreme weather conditions, fires, or other unavoidable situations do occur and may result in a regional power system alert.

While we take every measure possible to prevent outages from occurring, in the case that they do, the Heads Up program will give you the advance notice of yellow or red power system condition alerts, so you can make smart decisions accordingly.


The Heads Up program takes advantage of the fact that a large percentage of the population has access to e-mail and wireless text messaging. Now, in addition to the traditional media outlets, our customers can stay up-to-date with important news and information through one of the following:


 home/office computer e-mail
cell phones

wireless PDA's
pagers
